Kabir Singh is produced by Murad Khetani, Ashwin Varde, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner Cine1 Studios and T-Series Pvt.Ltd and is distributed by AA Films Pvt.Ltd. The film chronicles an alcoholic surgeon who goes on a self-destructive path after his old flame gets married. Over a crazy ride of booze, drugs and emotion-less sex, Kabir tries to get over this painful 'phase' of his life. But when he loses her owing to a rift in their relationship, he sinks himself in a tsunami of self-pity and destruction. The docile girl soon reciprocates his feelings. Kabir becomes a 'rebel with a cause' when his eyes fall on his college junior Preeti (Kiara Advani). But, he's deeply problematic and suffers from rage issues. He is a brillant medical surgeon and a football champ. Few minutes later, we enter the stormy world of Kabir Singh (Shahid Kapoor). The film opens with a scene of man and a woman sleeping on a bed, lulled by sounds of the sea which lies just ahead. Kabir Singh is an official remake of Telugu movie Arjun Reddy, which stars Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead. The movie stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. Kabir Singh is a Bollywood romance-drama, helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
